FellowHire + QuickBooks

Connect Sterling, your AI Finance fellow, to QuickBooks. Sterling reconciles transactions, categorizes spend, drafts reports, and answers finance questions in real time. From your Slack.

What your fellow does in QuickBooks

How it works

1

Connect during fellow setup.

During your fellow setup call, we connect QuickBooks Online via OAuth. We scope which entities, accounts, and reports Sterling can read and write. Your finance owner stays in control.

2

The fellow learns your books.

Sterling learns your specific QuickBooks. Your chart of accounts, your custom classes, your vendors, your categorization rules. By the time Sterling joins your Slack, Sterling reconciles the way your bookkeeper reconciles.

Common workflows your team can run

Daily reconciliation

Sterling reconciles bank-feed transactions every morning. Routine ones get categorized and matched. Edge cases get posted in Slack with a recommended categorization.

Spend questions

Anyone on the team can ask "how much did we spend on AWS last quarter" in Slack. Sterling pulls the answer from QuickBooks and posts it.

Month-end close

Sterling drafts a month-end P&L summary in a Doc, posts the highlights in #finance, and flags items that need a human's eyes before close.

Fellows that use QuickBooks

QuickBooks holds the truth about money. Sterling lives in it.

Compliance and security

FellowHire is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliant. Encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). No-training enterprise agreements with OpenAI and Anthropic.

QuickBooks-specific: OAuth-based connection. The fellow only accesses the company file and reports you approve during setup. You can revoke the connection at any time from your Intuit account.

Built for accounting-led teams

Sterling is not a generic AI assistant. Sterling is the Finance fellow, set up specifically for SMB and mid-market finance teams. If you are an accounting firm running multiple client books, talk to us. We have a specific setup for that.

Don't see your tool? We build it.

FellowHire is not a directory of 3,000 integrations. We build the integrations your fellow needs. If you run on Xero, NetSuite, Sage, or something else, that does not mean we cannot connect to it. It means we will scope it during fellow setup. Tell us what you run on. We will make it work.
